Owen Hart
After being trained by his legendary father, Owen Hart made his debut in 1986 in the Stampede wrestling organization out of Calgary, Alberta. Nearly right after his rookie year, Vince McMahon bought out most of the Stampede stars, meaning that they would soon see the bright lights of the WWF. Owen was one of these stars. In 1988, Owen finally came into the WWF. So everyone
wouldn't know that he was Bret Hart's brother, a WWF official suggested
the idea of putting him underneath a mask. This is where The Blue Blazer
was born! As The Blazer, Owen was the lightest wrestler that the WWF
had during a time where heavyweights such as Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant,
Dino Bravo, and The Ultimate Warrior dominated the federation. Owen's
greatest match during this stint took place at WrestleMania V, as he
lost to Curt Hennig. |
